An open access journal article with recommendations for Ugandan coffee smallholders has just been published by the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF), the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), and the French agricultural research and international cooperation, CIRAD. The article, “Local tree knowledge can fast-track agroforestry recommendations for coffee smallholders along a climate gradient in Mount Elgon, Uganda’, addresses Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) which is economically important but increasingly threatened by climate change for many smallholder farmers in the Mount Elgon region of East Uganda.
